She's crafty

She did it!  This past weekend, Vanessa participated in her first craft fair.  The craft fair was in Washington, IA, a quaint little town about 45 minutes south of us.

The crafters set up their tables in the town square--aka "Central Park."  Despite the town's small size, the craft fair was actually fairly large.

Vanessa left early in the morning to get everything set up, so Jonah and I made the trip down a bit later.  Here's Vanessa's table with her products laid out for all to see.

Vanessa chatted it up with the many people who stopped by. (Side note: notice Jonah playing in the background.)

Jonah and I stayed as long as we could, but our little man could only put off his nap for so long.  Fortunately, he was able to sleep during the drive home.

All in all, I am very proud of Vanessa.  She put A LOT of work into preparing for the craft fair (you can see some of her stuff here: happyeverythingonline.com).  Vanessa went out on a limb, tried something new, and did virtually everything by herself!  To top it off, she's already making plans to participate in another craft fair in November.  Great job, babe!

My husband is modest. He did a ton of work on the businessy side of things, like building the website!!! It was a really fun experience overall and I look forward to improving as I do a few more. Thanks for all the encouragement all around :)
