Jonahs 3rd Birthday

On June 14th, our sweet Jonah turned 3. It is amazing how much of a little boy he is turning into! As much as we would like to keep him our "bonsai boy", small forever, it seems our attempts are failing. Jonah had a Thomas the Train themed party (to say that he is "into" choo-choos, would be a vast understatement), with all the accessories to match. Like Andrews birthday party it was a great, laid back day of swimming and bbq with friends and family. Like father, like son. (sidenote: thanks to Uncle KC for some of these shots)

 

Jonah got this cute letter train from his G.G.  Cuz Noah thought it needed a bit of rearranging.

 

When opening his presents, Jonah wanted to stop and read some of the books. Ok. It's your party! Sweet ladylike Lizzy and Cuz Noah looked on.

It is hot, hot, hot in Fresno in June so there was a lot of water play.(We look forward to a future between these two, so the Smiths and Akinas can officially be related!)

Eating came after playing and we dined on classic corn on the cob and hot dogs. The birthday cake was replaced with homemade waffle ice cream sandwiches this year.

 

As always, we were so thankful for the Akinas and our family who came (from near and far) and were able to help celebrate the love of our lives.
