North Carolina bound

Monday, February 21, 2011

It is official...Vanessa, Jonah, and I are going to be in North Carolina next year.  I recently accepted an offer from Appalachian State University for an assistant professor position in the psychology department.  Vanessa and I are, of course, a bit nervous about this new chapter in our lives.  We have a lot to do before we move (e.g., sell our condo, finish my dissertation, find a place to live) so the next few months will probably be crazy.  That being said, we are very excited about the offer and are looking forward to putting down roots in North Carolina.  We'll be sure to keep everyone up to date as to our plans and the move.

Congratulations! This is a very exciting time for all of you. Anticipate that your stress levels will skyrocket and don't let it get the better of you. By this time next year you'll be all settled in and enjoying North Carolina.
