North Carolina bound

It is official...Vanessa, Jonah, and I are going to be in North Carolina next year.  I recently accepted an offer from Appalachian State University for an assistant professor position in the psychology department.  Vanessa and I are, of course, a bit nervous about this new chapter in our lives.  We have a lot to do before we move (e.g., sell our condo, finish my dissertation, find a place to live) so the next few months will probably be crazy.  That being said, we are very excited about the offer and are looking forward to putting down roots in North Carolina.  We'll be sure to keep everyone up to date as to our plans and the move.

The parking lot

Jonah has always loved playing with cars and trucks.  The other day, he came up with a new game; he set up a parking lot on our ottoman.  Jonah spent quite a bit of time getting all the cars to balance up there (the top isn't perfectly flat).  After the cars and trucks were nicely balanced, he knocked them all down.  Fun times!
